Recess week just came and I can't believe half of it passed just like that. I can't even remember doing anything productive. Maybe just a little bit of chemistry and marketing. Told myself I had to run everyday when the break started but it seems like the sky didn't want me to.
The past weekend was rather fruitful, and also a great way to start the week (: Caught pink panther and benjamin button (finally) with the boyfriend and had an awesome time with the church peeps over a game of captain's ball.
The poor boy lost so much weight. And minyi couldn't help but laugh at his botak head haha.
Oh my it rhymes hahaha.

Soccer & Captain's ball with Chapel of Christ our Redeemer (CCR)

The two HDB flats of CCK

Jon got all the girls squealing that day haha.
Pastor came to play too (:

he looked so cute playing goalkeeper

The chapel looks so like Chapel of the Holy Spirit at SAJC! Oh and speaking of which, we're gonna be playing with Church of the Ascension next. Yay can't wait (:
Jonathan's fringe grows in a very funny way that amuses us all haha (:

Had a mini retreat with the DG at east coast on Monday. It was a great time spent together and also taking time off to spend time alone with God.

It rained heavily over at the place moments after we reached so Amelia came in a cab to fetch us to the other side of east coast where she came from, which was surprisingly bright and sunny.

It felt so stress-free and peaceful to be able to just face the sea, hear the waves, listen to my favourite christian songs and think about what God has been doing in my life. Admist all our work and busy schedules, we should set aside time to find rest in God (: Food for thought- If you were to draw a picture of your present relationship with God, what will you draw?

One of Singapore's best yong tao fu. The first thing that came to my mind was to bring the boyfriend and charlotte there.

The cross hung on the wall was the first thing that I took notice of when I first stepped in.

I didn't know there were so many great hang-outs at the east. It's like a mini holland village. I'm starting to think that the east isn't a bad place to live in after all (:

Headed over to Amelia's house which was just a 10 minutes walk away. Her wardrobe is filled to the brim! Even more to this, she had 3 huge bags of clothes that she was going to sell off at her bazaar. We poured them out and started trying them on. I felt like a little girl playing dress up all over again (: Oh I brought back a few cute tops heh heh.
amelia wrote a feature article many other snippets when she was working as an intern at Female. And she got to try out make-up and beauty products and brought them back too (: I did dream of working for magazines but too bad I'm not cut out for journalism.
I could stay in her cozy room all day just chilling out and laughing with the girls. It was so hard bringing ourselves to leave for home knowing that we have to face the dreadful reality of recess week- to study and finish assignments.

The sky is being moody again. Which means, no more swimming and running for me. Boo :(

Read about this in Smitten. It's really really sweet!

As the couple walked across the Brooklyn Bridge this past weekend, strangers handed her pink balloons and love notes. (He had asked his friends to stand on the other side of the bridge with a bunch of balloons and give the balloons to strangers, who would, in turn, hand them to her. The first balloon was given to her by his friend, who she wouldn't recognize. How clever!)

Her story:
* When we started taking a walk, he was acting jittery and was really chatty. He also missed our transfer on the subway which never happens. He's normally very calm and collected. I was a little suspicious.
* We started walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. Strangers were handing me pink balloons, and too many things were going through my mind--just random thoughts like he is so cute, who are these people, wow I'm really lucky, doesn't this only happen in the movies? Is this real? He loves me, doesn't he?
* When he proposed, I felt really excited, happy and a little dazed!

His story:
* I was nervous and excited. As we walked, strangers gave her pink balloons and love notes. The notes were handwritten messages to her which reminded her of why I loved her and why I wanted to marry her.
* Now, I'm so happy and excited about the future.

Who says Valentine's has to be celebrated with pretty clothes, bouquets of flowers and expensive dinners at classy restaurants? With great company and good food, simple can still be perfect.

Finally a good meal for him after a week at field camp (:

The Love Appointment at Tea Party- Faith, love & Purity.

I just started on another tuition for the weekends, this time much closer to home. Coincidentally, its just a minute away from zc's house if you walk, and 10 seconds if you fly. And I don't know why, but its either all my tuition kids are talkative and a little on the crazy side, or its just that i look like a babysitter. Do I? I've learnt many things about them too, some of it really amazes me. Kids nowadays are just so different from my generation (i sound as if i'm very old. but wait, i am).

Oh i forgot to mention something really significant that happened last week. For Crusade bible study, we actually went to do street evangelism. I was the only one who turned up that day, so I had to do it with other senior crusaders. It was pretty scary at first but I felt more excited than nervous after we prayed for courage and that God will lead the way for us.

So I paired up with my DG Leader and we went around looking for people to share with. It turned out well, even though the people we talked to were mostly unbelievers, but we were so glad that they were open to us sharing about God. We were so thankful that we managed to at least sow the seed in their hearts, and that He provided the right people to talk to. It was the very first time I did something like that, but I kinda enjoyed it, despite knowing it can be challenging. I guess the Mission trip really played a huge part in my faith, and knowing that if I don't try, I'll never know. God really works in ways you might have never noticed or expect (:

He's always there, right beside you. Its whether or not you choose to accept and acknowledge Him. It's the greatest gift one could ever have- having a personal relationship with someone who loves me unconditionally (:
